NPE Community Garden

2022: Spring is Here!

NPE PTO has organized a garden cleanup and a seedling sale to support the garden’s growing season!

The NPE Community Garden is Ready for Autumn!

Mr. Jason secured an incredibly generous donation of soil from
Organic Mechanics,

Their soils are 100% organic, made with locally sourced ingredients, completely peat-free and used by professional gardeners at arboretums and botanical gardens including Longwood Gardens, Scott Arboretum, Chanticleer Garden, and more.

The families cleaned out the fading summer plants, and put in broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and kale. The families also planted some pansies, mums, and asters for fall color.

Summer in the Garden

NPE PTO has been working with school staff and administration to continue to maintain the NPE Community Garden over the summer. The results are fantastic!

May Clean Up

Thanks to Sarah Hopkins (parent) who took the lead and organized a garden cleanup in May. We were overwhelmed with the amount of families that came out with their garden tools in hand and got dirty. The kids learned about gardening and planted flowers and seeds.
