5.9.2024 Meeting
Yesterday was the last NPE PTO General Assembly Meeting for the 2023-2024 school year. Thank you to all who came out! Here are some of the highlights:
The Welcome Back Pool Party, Welcome Back Teachers, and First Day of School budget was approved for events happening in August and the beginning of the school year.
Vice Co-Chairs Mallory Peretti and Kate Pehlivanov were elected to join the NPE PTO Executive Board. Welcome aboard!
Mr. Heinle reported that the book vending machine (a project backed by NPE PTO) is up and running! Students and staff have been excited about this new edition to the school and we're so happy the kids will get to enjoy this for years to come!
Mr. Heinle reported that the faculty at NPE have reported how much they love all the gestures and gifts for this years Teacher Appreciation Week, it truly means a lot to recognize all their work.
We were joined by Andy Benzig the WSSD Director of STEM for K-12 joined us to discuss REVEAL Math which will be introduced to the schools. This will help kids get engaged and curious about math and work on using their analytical skills to find the solution.
May Fair will be held on Thursday, May 23rd with a rain date of Friday, May 31st. We will need volunteers for this fun filled day.
The 5th grade committee has been hard at work planning and organizing all of the wonderful activities for the 5th graders as they get ready to move up from NPE to the Middle School. The dance and pool party will be coming up soon, please see the e-blast for more details.
Lastly, this was the last general assembly meeting for Co-Chairs Caitlin Shump and Sarah Hall, NPE PTO wants to thank them both for all of their hard work and dedication to the NPE PTO! We appreciate everything you have done for the PTO and NPE!
